Boys don’t cry

You want to rip your hair out, over and over again. You want to tear at it until your mind grows quiet with exhaustion. Until your scalp, with a suddenness now feeling cold and empty, grows tired.

You want to cry them back to life, as if your tears have hidden power in their flowing. But the water is done. It does not come as it once did and still they have not returned. You thought you had more power than you do.

You rip your hair out.

You are angry
But okay
But surviving
But getting by

The day turns into night and the night turns into day. The sun into the moon and back again.

Your hair lives curled inside the shower drain. Bent down naked with the water to your ankles, you unwind and tear it out.

You are angry
But okay
But surviving
But getting by

In the space between the nightime and the day, you cry them back to life.

Kind regards and all the best with your blog

Best wishes from the First City to see the sun (in summer) …and we’re also the first to see the sunset and the stars (in winter-time)
